Oktoberfest

If there is one celebration I would gladly skip it is Oktoberfest.  I don't drink, especially not beer, and my preference is to eschew anything that can remind me, even remotely, of the Third Reich.

But today is Oktoberfest here in The Villages and friend June and her husband Kay suggested we take our two golf carts over to Sumter Landing and check it out and grab a bite to eat. Attractions will include a wandering troupe of clowns and stilt walkers, "Heidelberg Hot Shots", "Swinging Bavarians", and a host of other performers and sidewalk eateries featuring German favorites and "regular" food.  I am ready to put my trepidations aside and try this definitely new-to-me experience.

Minus the beer of course!
