Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster produced by the British government in 1939 at the beginning of World War II. It was intended to raise morale in the face of widely anticipated mass air attacks on major cities. It actually was not well known or particularly popular at the time and it's only been in recent years that this bit of wise advice has become ubiquitous throughout the land and propagated in hundreds of mutilated formats.Helping the effort to bastardize the original is the Keep Calm-O-Matic generator.
