Thomas Kincaid, painter, multi-gadzillionaire, bankrupt business person and DUI criminal, died at the early age of 54 this week. I'm sure I'm like a lot of people when I say this news was bittersweet.Some People have riduculed his paintings, saying they were formulistic and of places that never were and never could be. But Some People saw Heaven and the Light of Jesus in his paintings. I saw a talented artist and I liked his work until it started to appear on coffee mugs, night lights and mouse pads.
Mr. Kincaid, I hope your demons have been put to rest and you are now in the Heaven portrayed in your paintings.
