Roger Ebert passed away yesterday, two days after announcing he would be taking a "leave of presence" and that from now on he would be reviewing only the movies he wanted. To their movie-loving public, and especially to us Chicagoans, Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert were beloved icons.
I awoke last night to the sound of thunder, lightning and howling winds. Siskel and Ebert must have been enjoying a 3-D action flick!
